Housing Verified provides information, not housing.

We are not a landlord

We show you properties whose screening criteria — as the landlord stated them — line up with the information you gave us. We are not a landlord, property manager, or real estate agent, and we have no business or financial relationship with the properties on your list. We are not paid by them, we don't represent them, and no property can pay to appear on your list or to rank higher on it.

Appearing on your list is not an approval

Landlords decide who they rent to. They consider things they never told us about, they change requirements, and they may simply prefer another applicant. A strong head start is not a guarantee.

"Worth a shot" means exactly that

Those are properties where the landlord told us they weigh the whole picture and you're close to their stated minimum. It's our judgment that applying is reasonable. It is not the landlord's promise.

Criteria change

We collect them from published criteria and from properties directly, and we record what we're told. Rents move, availability moves, and staff turn over. Confirm with the property before you pay an application fee — in St. Paul, landlords must give you their written criteria first.

We never run a credit check

Nothing here affects your credit score.

Nothing here is legal advice

We describe Minneapolis and St. Paul ordinances as we understand them, because knowing your rights helps. If you believe a landlord has broken the law, talk to a lawyer or contact your city's civil rights department. We're not qualified to advise you.

Your results depend on your answers

Inaccurate information produces an inaccurate list.
